ONE MORE YEAR
Today, we celebrate Another – Day…. Week…. Month…. Year… 2012. We have been blessed to see ONE MORE YEAR.
Through all the ups and downs, mountains and valleys, joys and sorrows, victories and defeats, good days and bad days, We have been blessed to see ONE MORE YEAR.
In Luke 13:6-9 Jesus tells a parable about a fig tree that did not bear fruit despite its advantageous position in a well kept vineyard. The Vineyard's owner demanded that it be cut down, but the vineyard's gardener said, "Give it one more year, if it bears fruit, good!" "But if it doesn't, then cut it down!"
We my brothers & sisters are that tree. The parable doesn't say one way or the other what happened at the end of the year, but I believe that we all have the ability to write the end to our story. Will we be fruitful or barren in this coming year? The choice is ours.
